Turnaround Support, Right Where It Matters
During a major petrochemical turnaround, every hour counts. Hundreds of contractors need safe, immediate access to the right equipment, while work scopes and requirements can change from one moment to the next. To keep people safe and the turnaround moving, Zeevenhooven Air provided a fully equipped on-site Safety Shop, bringing PPE, respiratory protection, gas detection equipment, tools, and specialist support directly to the point of work. By combining equipment availability with our hands-on service and technical expertise, we helped reduce waiting time, support changing requirements, and maintain continuity throughout the turnaround.

The challenge
A major turnaround brings together hundreds of contractors, multiple disciplines, and a continuously changing work environment. Safety equipment must not only meet the required standards; it must also be available exactly when and where it is needed.
PPE requirements can change, respiratory protection may be needed at short notice, gas detectors must be available for specific activities, and tools need to be replaced or added without interrupting the work.
In an operation where safety, efficiency, and planning are closely connected, unnecessary travel, waiting time, or equipment shortages can quickly affect productivity. The challenge was therefore not simply to supply equipment, but to create a reliable support structure that could respond directly to the demands of the turnaround.

The vision
At Zeevenhooven Air, we believe that safety should support operational continuity, not slow it down.
Our approach is to combine control with accessibility. Through rental, we take care of equipment availability, storage, and maintenance. With an on-site Safety Shop, we take that approach one step further by bringing essential safety equipment and support directly to the workplace.
For contractors, this means immediate access to the equipment required for the job. For the client, it means greater control over availability and a flexible solution that can adapt as the turnaround progresses.
More than supplying products, we act as a full-service safety partner. Our specialists think along, respond quickly, and help solve challenges as they arise — with one objective: keeping people safe and the operation moving.
The solution
For this turnaround, Zeevenhooven Air established a dedicated temporary Safety Shop directly on site. From this central location, contractors had immediate access to a comprehensive range of PPE, respiratory protection, gas detection equipment and tools throughout the maintenance operation.
The on-site setup significantly shortened the distance between demand and solution. Equipment could be supplied quickly, changing requirements could be addressed directly, and contractors did not have to leave the worksite to source essential safety equipment.
Our role extended beyond product availability. With specialist knowledge close at hand, we could actively support the project and respond flexibly to the day-to-day requirements of the turnaround.
The result was a practical, scalable, and reliable solution that contributed to:
- Safety — immediate access to appropriate safety and respiratory protection equipment.
- Efficiency — less time spent sourcing, collecting, or replacing equipment.
- Flexibility — fast response to changing work scopes and contractor requirements.
- Continuity — critical equipment available where the work was taking place.
- Support — Zeevenhooven Air expertise available throughout the operation.
By bringing equipment, expertise, and service together on site, Zeevenhooven Air helped take care of the safety infrastructure behind the turnaround — allowing contractors and the client to focus on getting the job done safely and efficiently.
Safety within reach. Continuity under control.

The result
The on-site Safety Shop created a direct link between the contractors, the equipment they needed, and Zeevenhooven Air's specialist support. Instead of losing valuable time sourcing equipment away from the worksite, contractors had immediate access to essential PPE, respiratory protection, gas detection equipment, and tools.
This helped the turnaround organisation respond quickly to changing requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and continuity. Equipment remained accessible throughout the operation, and our on-site presence meant questions and additional requirements could be addressed directly.
For the client, the solution meant more than having equipment available. Zeevenhooven Air took responsibility for an important part of the safety support surrounding the turnaround, reducing the operational burden on the project organisation and allowing teams to focus on the work ahead.
The result was a flexible and dependable on-site solution that supported the turnaround from day-to-day operations through changing project demands — combining equipment, availability, expertise, and service in one location.
A practical example of what Zeevenhooven Air stands for: thinking along, helping out, and taking action where it matters most.
Keeping people safe. Keeping the turnaround moving.
